Andrea Brillantes had previously hinted that she would be venturing into business and was dubbed one of the youngest CEOs at the age of 19. Finally, the celebrity revealed that the business she is launching is a makeup line named, Lucky Beauty.
On Instagram, Andrea shared some snippets of how hard she worked in making her dream a reality. She stated that she’s been very hands-on in developing the products. She wrote, “We’ve been hard at work to bring to life this dream of mine. After spending countless hours researching, developing, and testing, I can’t wait to share what we’ve come up with. @luckybeautyinc coming your way real soon.”
The name Lucky Beauty was chosen because Andrea believes that “make-up is my type of lucky charm.”
In a vlog via her Youtube channel, Andrea gave a tour of her office and shared some of her inspirations and motivations as a young entrepreneur. It was important to her that she was actively involved in the entire makeup collection, rather than just her face on the products.
“Kasi ayoko like yung brand ko sabihin lang na nilagyan lang ng pangalan ko or something, kasi sobrang hands-on po talaga ako dito guys, ‘di lang ganito yung makikita niyong clips na nandito ako ngayon. Makikita niyo pa kahit nag-wowork ako sa ibang bansa, very focused pa’rin ako sa brand ko,” she said.
[I don’t like people to say that I only put my name on (on the products), so I’m very hands-on in this. These clips aren’t just made to show that I show up here in the office, but you will see that even if I’m working abroad, I’m very focused on my brand.]
According to Andrea, her sister had to travel to Thailand to check on the quality of the products. She also explained how she and her team worked hard for a year to come up with her brand and collection.
Being actively involved in your business is crucial when you’re an entrepreneur, similar to how Piolo Pascual and Kathryn Bernardo are with their resort in El Nido. Like Andrea, many celebrities are venturing into makeup and cosmetics like Vice Ganda’s Vice Cosmetics or Ivana Alawi’s skincare line, Ivana Skin.
