Venesa Velez Gaviola of Angels Creamy Peanut Butter in Cebu shares the story of her business. Starting from a capital of P2,000, it has now become a business with 6-digits monthly earnings.

The Cebuana entrepreneur recalled the humble beginnings of her business on GMA’s Pera Paraan. According to Venesa, she learned that there are many stores that need to purchase peanut butter outside Cebu. She took this opportunity to build her own brand, the Angels Creamy Peanut Butter.
To make it even more unique, she gave it a twist. Her peanut butter is available in 14 yummy flavors: Original, Blueberry Delights, Buko Pandan, Chia Seeds, Mango, Dulce de Leche, Chunky, Strawberry, Melon, Sugar-Free, Ube Leche, Cinnamon, Crunchy Cacao and Chocolate Strips.

Venesa revealed that they began with a capital of P2,000 – P3,000. They bought two kilos of peanuts to get started. Like any starting business, Venesa struggled to meet the expectations of its customers. But, she was motivated to work harder to succeed.
“Napakahirap na struggle namin yung gumigising kami ng 2 to 3 ng umaga para matapos lang namin yung mga orders,” she said.
Now, Venesa and her business are far along from the manual labor they used to have. She is proud to show that they now have machines and enough manpower to meet all their needs. To top it all off, their business is doing so well that they have exceeded their monthly target income. They now have hundreds of resellers nationwide.
“Every month, I’m proud to say we earn 6-digits income,” she added.
Helping other housewives
Veneza understands the needs of housewives to earn income even with a small capital. She made a reseller package at an affordable starting price. At a price of P1,000 to P2,000, you can already become a reseller of Angel’s Creamy peanut butter.

Making the popular Angels Creamy Peanut Butter
Venesa even showed how they make their popular peanut butter. They start by toasting the peanuts on a pan. Mix continually until it becomes medium brown. When it reaches the right color, place the peanuts on a blender to grind it. Add the white sugar and butter. You can choose the consistency of your peanut butter to be either smooth or chunky.
Inspiring other entrepreneurs
According to Veneza, it is a humbling experience to be able to share the experiences as entrepreneurs. She added that their goal has always been to encourage others to venture into business.
“Our business goal has always been helping ordinary people to start their own business with small capital and eventually succeed and stand on their own,” she stated on Facebook.
