Ronell Igcasenza of Zab’s Crib Unli-Wings shared his inspiring story of being a factory worker to a proud business owner.

Ronell recalled that he used to work in a factory that makes doors, cabinets, and other furniture in Japan. He was a minimum wage owner who wanted to make it big in life. Born to an impoverished family with four siblings, Ronell had high hopes for a better future.

He took on odd jobs, trying to find different means to earn and help his family. It wasn’t easy at all. Ronell recalled how he faced so many rejections when applying for a job.

“Kailangan ko talagang tumulong sa pamilya. That’s when I decided po na mag-apply as call center agent sa BPO. Mga sampung beses ako nagtry until eventually may kumpanya pong nagtiwala at tumulong po sa akin na magkaroon ng trabaho sa BPO,” Ronell said on GMA’s Pera Paraan.

“Dito po ako nagsimula para makapagipon po at matulungan yung pamilya ko sa negosyo,” he added.

Ronell found luck when one of his friends migrated to Canada and offered him her business. According to him, his motivation to strive well in business is his family. Aside from being a business owner, Ronell also works as a real estate agent.

“Kapag po kasi nare-recall ko yung buhay namin noong araw. Sobrang hirap po talaga. Isang kahig, isang tuka po kami noon araw, “ the entrepreneur shared.

Advice To Aspiring Entrepreneurs

Ronell advised aspiring entrepreneurs to ask themselves two questions when they want to open a business. First, ask your purpose and ask if it’s your passion.

How To Make Honey Garlic Buttered Chicken Wings

First, prepare your ingredients, including butter, honey, minced garlic, eggs, chicken wings, and the special breading. Coat the chicken wings in special breading, dip in egg, then back to the special breading for a second coating. This helps give the chicken wings an extra crispy texture. Deep fry the wings in hot oil.

Next, prepare the honey garlic sauce. In a pan, melt the butter and add the honey. Add the garlic to the mixture and mix everything until it becomes sticky. Set aside once done.

Once the chicken wings are fully cooked, you can assemble everything in a dish. Pour the honey garlic sauce over the chicken wings. Serve.
