From Former MMDA and Uber Driver to Businessman
Although he didn’t share how much he used to earn as a former MMDA and Uber driver, Nathan Lumaban said that his life changed when he became a ‘certified Iponaryo,’ or somehow who knows how to save money.
Lumaban explained that it all started when he heard about Coach Chinkee Tan back in 2016.
Despite his small earnings at the time, he was able to save some money from the useful tips he learned from Tan.
Little by little, he used the knowledge he learned to start a small buy-and-sell business. Instead of using his earnings to splurge, he started building more businesses.
Thanks to the knowledge he learned from the business coach, he was able to start a carwash, mini restaurant, and a water refilling station. When modern investment tools like cryptocurrencies and NFTs came by, such as Axie, he also grew his money there.
What’s so amazing is that he’s now earning as much as Php60k to Php90k a month, but could soon increase that because he’s building a resort in Pampanga. Once that opens, his earnings could double from what he’s getting now.
“Sabi nga ni coach magiging investment ang pag papagawa ng bhay kung ito ay kumikita ng pera kaya naman tiis muna kami sa maliit na bahay at pag nakaipon na tsaka na kami bibili ng sarili bahay na pwede kahit hindi kumikita share ko lang din ung lagi ko naririnig kay coach knowledge without application is entertainment,” he explained.
Lumaban also shared a photo of the joint savings account he has with his wife – and it has over Php700k. Netizens are jokingly commenting, “Sana all!”
