Housewife Turns P7k Capital Into P120K Profit In A Day Through Live Selling

A housewife is reaping the fruits of her labor as she hit the jackpot in online selling. Brenda Lyn “Mercy” delos Reyes shares how she earns over P100,000 in a day selling clothes online.

Since the pandemic, many sellers found their luck by selling their items online. Mercy is one of those lucky online sellers who was able to turn a small capital into a huge profit by selling online.

On GMA’s “Reporter’s Notebook,” Mercy shows off over 100 of “bale” or packages of clothes she was going to sell that time. She explained that she buys each “bale” for P6,000 to P7,000.

When she was started she began with one “bale” until she had to purchase three more. Now, ten bale sometimes isn’t enough to meet her customers’ demands. In one live selling session, she could earn as much as P100,000 to P126,000 when she gets to sell all the clothes.

Even better, her overhead expenses are very minimal she only does live selling in her house’s living room.

Mercy recalled that she used to be a housewife before becoming an online seller. She too became hooked on buying things online and realized she could sell too.

“Nagma-‘mine’ lang din po ako sa ibang mga nagla-live selling. And then na-realize ko, sabi ko, ang dami kong binibili hindi ko naman nasusuot lahat,” Mercy said.

“Sabi ko ‘Kaya ko itong gawin. Gawin ko rin kaya mag-online selling ng damit,'” she added.

But being an online seller isn’t as easy as it may seem. Aside from going live online, there is so much work done behind the scene. Mercy needs the help of her children and nieces. They would stay up late until 3 AM to finish the invoices of their orders.

There are times when she barely has enough sleep because she needs to attend to customers’ inquiries or pack orders for shipping. It’s such a sacrifice but Mercy is determined to be successful.

As an online seller, scams and bogus buyers are always there. Mercy too has been a victim of such inconsiderate people. These frauds really affect businesses and frustrate sellers. But instead of being disheartened, Mercy moves on and pushes her business to succeed even more.

With grit and determination in mind, Mercy doesn’t let any challenge falter her towards success.
