How to Franchise Jollibee

Jollibee is definitely one of the most recognizable Philippine brands. The food chain is formally named Jollibee Foods Corp. (JFC). It had humble beginnings back in 1975 when Tony Tan Caktiong opened a Magnolia Ice Cream parlor in Cubao, Quezon City.

Caktiong would soon expand his business to include high-demand products such as hamburgers and hotdogs, later really shifting focus to the latter instead of selling ice cream. This proved to be a good move. Today, JFC operates over 3,000 restaurant outlets in the country – not just under its eponymous chain Jollibee but also Greenwich, Chowking, Red Ribbon, Mang Inasal, and Burger King!

The company also has a strong international presence, with over 100 stores across the world – mostly in places where there are plenty of overseas Filipino workers (OFWs).

Franchise costs for Jollibee range from Php 25 to 35 million in the Philippines and around US$ 450,000 to 800,000 outside the country.
