The “Jollibee Bike Delivery Service” was launched last November and serviced selected stores in the CBD. The branches who first offered it were in Makati, Ortigas, BGC and Metro Cebu.

According to ABS-CBN, Arline Adeva, the AVP of Jollibee for Brand Communications and PR told them that it was also launched in Laguna and Cavite.

“We are the first to launch the Jollibee Bike Delivery Service in the Philippines and so far, we are the only one exploring the service,”

She added that the primary advantage that this brings to the country is to lessen their carbon footprint especially in the CBD which is most congested.

“The primary advantage of using bikes is really to lessen carbon emission especially in CBDs where it’s highly congested,”

Adeva also assured that the 40 bikes that are traversing the streets to deliver orders are especially customized for stable travel and are equipped with waterproof and dust-proof thermal bags to ensure the quality of food will not be compromised.

Along with that, the safety of the riders are also given importance, all riders undergo training and are provided with safety helmet and gears.

“We also conduct training for our riders to ensure they understand speed limits, making use of the bike lanes, and also to use their blinkers at night time,”
