Foodbeast, which has over 4 million followers on Facebook, has decided to give Jollibee the spotlight it deserves a through list called “The Top 10 Fast Food Fried Chicken Joint in the USA”. The list created by Foodbeast’s Constantine Spyrou was topped by Popeye’s followed by Chick-fil-A.

Calling Jollibee’s Chickenjoy a “bomb fried chicken”, Spyrou commended the food’s simple recipe as well as its flavorful gravy which he claimed no other restaurant can replicate.

“What makes it stand out beyond the rest, however, is a gravy packed with flavors of onion and celery that is absolutely ethereal. You almost want a whole bucket of the gravy just to dip into the chicken, it’s that good. ” Spyrou wrote.

“The unique savory notes of the gravy compliment fried chicken in a way that no other fast food chain on this list can replicate, and it’s why Jollibee deserves such a high spot on this list,” he added.

Other fried chicken brands which made it to the list include Church’s Chicken, Wingstop, Shake Shack, Raising Cane’s, Bojangles, Zaxby’s and KFC.

The iconic Pinoy fast food restaurant also gained international recognition after grabbing the top spot in Thrillist.com’s “16 Best International Restaurant Chains” back in 2014.

Dubbed as Asia’s answer to McDonald’s in the fast food business, Jollibee has over over 1,000 branches worldwide. It opened its first store in Daly City in California in 1988 and continued growing in the US. To date, it has 34 branches all over the US.
