Last Christmas, Rivera’s dream of owning a flower shop started turning into reality after she was gifted by her husband Dingdong Dantes with an SEC-registration of her flower shop business.

In her interview with GMA 7’s 24 Oras, Rivera revealed that she will be hands on and will even personally arrange the flowers.

“Mahilig talaga ako sa bulaklak. Kapag ginagawa ko siya, may ibang fulfillment akong nararamdaman sa sarili ko. Ako ang mag-a-arrange mismo, walang ibang tao kung ‘di ako lahat [ang] gagawa,” Rivera said.

Although Rivera has revealed the logo of her upcoming business in her Instagram account, the actress has not yet revealed when her shop will start operating. Many speculated that it will open on Valentine’s day but Rivera is yet to make an announcement.

Despite their success in the show business, many actors and actresses like Rivera have ventured into business. Celebrities like Marvin Agustin, Willie Revillame, Luis Manzano, Kris Aquino, Angel Locsin, Carmina Villaroel, Jolina Magdangal and Jodi Sta. Maria are also successful entrepreneurs.

For Agustin, a former matinee idol and owner of a successful chain of restaurants in the Philippines, being an entrepreneur gives him a different level of fulfilment.

“I get different levels of fulfillment from them. As an actor and chef, it’s more personal. But as an entrepreneur, it is about creating a better business environment and opportunities for Filipinos.”
