On Instagram, the 2015 Miss Universe queen has announced how thrilled she is to launch her own line of carpets and rugs in collaboration with Studio Soliven. Pia shared that this project is close to her heart because of her love for home design.

According to the beauty queen, it took her almost 2 years to conceptualize her line of carpets and rugs. She wrote, “This is my first foray into interiors, and it was a very tedious but fulfilling process (it took me almost two years!) figuring out how I wanted my carpets to look like and feel like and producing them.”

Pia recalled how she first became interested in interior design while renovating both her condo and home. She described the delight of developing a connection with a particular space and coming up with a plan to make it beautiful. She continued by saying that she didn’t expect to have such a passion for interior design, and that she is now creating her own carpet designs.

She wrote, “I like the idea of walking into a space and instantly connecting with it. I didn’t think I’ll have this kind of connection with home design but here I am designing my first carpets. It’s been a joy for me and I hope you guys like it too!”

Pia emphasized how pleased she is that her lovely rugs capture her unique sense of style. She couldn’t wait to see them in her own house.

She wrote, “Our floors carry everything for us in our home, and making it look beautiful with rugs that depict my personal style truly makes me happy, especially now that I’m about to move into my own house.”

The beauty queen looked back at how she felt when she first moved into her condo and found comfort in the soft carpets. It was then she knew that space was for.

“I still remember when I moved in my condo, the first thing I did was lie down on the carpets Studio Soliven and I created. Wala pa masyadong laman yung condo ko noon. But you know what, lying down there, that was when I knew I was home,” she wrote.
