‘Sabotage’ Your Halloween with Sweet Treats

Halloween is coming but the recent pandemic will not let us wear costumes and go out the streets to party. But it does not mean that we cannot have our bag-full of sweets and do trick-or-treats. Rocio Escano’s Sabotage will take care of that.

A full-time pre-law student and a part-time quarantine baker, Rocio has been selling cinnamon rolls and blueberry cheesecakes through her Instagram bakery. According to her, Halloween is her favorite holiday. As such, she plans to make it special despite the health crisis affecting the country.

“I love that Halloween sparks freedom of expression. It’s a time that people get to [become] something out of ordinary,” she shares.

Apart from offering baked treats, Sabotage will also take care of the Halloween trick-or-treat through its treat buckets and BOO baskets.

These packages include toys for the kids and Sabotage’s best-selling Reese cookies. There will also be a lot of candies in the goodies’ bag, as Rocio herself will not go anywhere without some in her bag.

“When I was younger, my mom would always get my cousins and me together to trick-or-treat. We would have candy afterward,” Rocio says.

She adds, “Since Halloween is sabotaged this year, I thought I’d try to keep the spirit alive by creating fun baskets for both kids and kids-at-heart to enjoy this spooky season”.

Only a handful of Boo Baskets left ‼️😱👻

For her, there is something about Halloween that brings her together with her family and friends. She hopes to be able to share that experience through their Halloween buckets that customers can send to their loved ones.

A bucketful of surprises

A jack-o-lantern treat bucket comes in orange, purple, and green. An individual bucket costs P600 but getting five will only cost P2,500. Sabotage can arrange the delivery of the buckets.

A BOO basket, on the other hand, is a larger bucket of treats that comes with a starlight projector that will complete the Halloween trick-or-treat experience.
