They say that the best way to a man’s heart is through his stomach.

Matteo Guidecelli is one lovestruck husband as he is obviously in love with everything about his wife, Sarah Geronimo. His latest obsession—Sarah’s strawberry cake.

“She does really, really good cakes. Her strawberry cake is super good,” Matteo shares.

At their first Christmas season together as a couple, Matteo could not be more proud of her wife’s improving culinary skills.

In the past nine months, they were able to enrich their relationship further by doing things in their kitchen.

“I do the Italian dishes and she the Filipino food and the baking, so it’s been perfect for us,” he explains.

Matteo was able to master cooking through the Da Gianna Cucina Italiana, the restaurant his family owns.

Aside from Sarah’s strawberry cake, Matteo also brags about her Japanese souffle cheesecake, lemon blueberry buttermilk, and passion fruit coconut cheesecake. His wife also bakes oatmeal and chocolate cookies, as well as brownies and muffins.

Doing good

Sarah’s discovery of her baking talents is among what they consider as the unexpected thrills of their married life, amid the pandemic. Matteo also believes that their life together during the lockdown period made their bond stronger.
