Marlon started to open his coffee shop Le Chunito with P50,000 capital. His advice to other aspiring entrepreneurs is to study their business well. He revealed that the first six months would be the hardest, so it’s essential to be persevering.

“Sa negosyo, lalo na ang resto, or kahit anong negosyo, mula sa una hanggang sa mga ika-anim na buwan, ‘di mo pa makikita ang kita mo,” Marlon said on GMA’s Pera Paraan.

“Pag-aralan mabuti kung angkop ba sa lugar, sa panahon, at sa iyong sarili,” he added.

Marlon explains that on ordinary days, customers need to buy other items to avail of the P5 unli coffee. But every 11th and 22nd of the month, they can avail of the unli coffee without purchasing anything.

Their coffee is also sustainable as they purchase it from local coffee growers in Rizal.

But for a price of P5, is it profitable?

Marlon revealed that their initiative is both social responsibility and a business strategy. He said it’s a way to give back to their avid customers. He also added that they make up for possible losses from the unli coffee from the profit of their other products. It’s still a win-win situation for all.

“Ito po ang aming paraan na pagsshare ng blessings doon sa mga taong abot-kamay. Kasi yung kape naman ay maganda, local siya. At nababawi namin siya sa ibang produkto,” the entrepreneur said.

And the profits don’t disappoint them. Because aside from the unli coffee, Marlon’s Le Chunito is also known for its pancit bilato.

How To Make Le Chunito’s Pancit Bilato

Prepare the ingredients, including oil, pepper, special soy sauce, sugar, garlic, onion, chicken, carrots, cabbage, sayote, and the pancit canton.

Start cooking the pancit by sauteing the garlic and onion in a pan. Add in the carrots and sayote. Pour in water until veggies are cooked. Once soft, remove the veggies and set them aside.

In the same pan, add in the pancit canton, and special soy sauce. Add in the cooked veggies, sugar, and more special soy sauce.

To assemble, place the pancit bilato on a plate and top it with sliced hard-boiled eggs, longganisa, and lechon kawali.
