In a report by Janelle Lorzano on Philippine Star, Ana Nicole Lagmay-Bulanon of La Cocina Carla shared the motivations and success of her lechon roll business. Her inspiring story will remind us that nothing’s impossible with lots of hard work and determination.

Like any bride-to-be, Ana wanted to walk down the aisle at her dream wedding. Unfortunately, there was a pandemic, and she and her then groom-to-be both had financial responsibilities. While both of them had stable jobs, saving up for their wedding was challenging because they were also their family’s breadwinners.

“During that time, though may stable kaming work, kaya lang kasi pareho kaming panganay. Pareho kaming breadwinner ng family. So hindi talaga siya gano’n kabilis makakaipon kami kung magbabase lang talaga kami sa monthly salary namin,” Ana Nicole shared in the report.

But as they say, nothing’s impossible when you’re a determined woman! A month after she got engaged in June 2021, Ana Nicole started her lechon roll business. Venturing into business wasn’t new to her because she and her mom had already been managing an online food business during the pandemic. But she knew the lechon roll business was promising and so she invested her time and effort in working on it.

Her hardwork proved to be a success! One of her lechon roll videos went viral online and the orders for lechon roll started rolling in. In a week, she was able to sell over 300 boxes and earn a five-figure profit. Their income helped pay for the wedding and made them the happiest couple on their special day.

“Nakakaiyak kasi siya, dahil nga parang ‘yung wedding namin, dugo’t pawis talaga technically. Literal pawis na pawis ka kakaluto ng lechon. Pagod na pagod kami. Tapos ang ending, ‘yon. ‘Yung na na-achieve namin ‘yung dream wedding namin,” Ana Nicole shared.

There have been many inspiring success stories of how Pinoy’s favorite lechon prove to be a successful business venture. A college dropout turned his life around thanks to his lechon belly business. Another story is how a man who couldn’t afford college now owns a lechon manok franchise. So, if you’re looking for some business ideas to try, go ahead and whip up your signature lechon recipe!
