Chito Miranda is one supportive husband to his wife, Neri, especially when it comes to her business ideas.
It’s a sad reality that sometimes mothers and wives who wish to venture into business don’t get the support they deserve from their husbands or partners. Some of these husbands don’t trust their wives with business thinking that mothers only need to focus on their family duties. Luckily for Neri, she got one very supportive husband!
On Facebook, Chito shared the success story of his wife and their rest house for rent, Miranda’s Rest House.
According to Chito, Neri started by buying a 200-sq meter lot for P400,000. The money she used came from her earnings selling gourmet tuyo online.
Soon, Neri was able to save up for a much bigger lot for her dream business. Because of Neri’s efforts, they were able to build 4 villas for rent. Chito shared that their business was truly a product of his wife’s hardwork.
“Sabi ko, ‘malaking pera yan.’ Sabi nya, ‘kaya ko yan.’ For several years, ginapang at pinag-ipunan nya talaga lahat, hangga’t makapag-patayo sya ng 4 na villas,” Chito said.
Determined to succeed, Chito shared how Neri was focused on her vision. She wanted to expand and opened another business opportunity, a pavilion for events.
“Hindi siya sumuko. Hindi niya tinantanan. She held the vision, and trusted the process. Nag-ipon na naman sya, this time para magpatayo ng pavilion…ipapa-rent nya din daw kung may birthday party or binyag. Isang malawak lang na covered area sa likod ng mga villa, na walang walls at walang aircon,” Chito said.
Seeing Neri’s perseverance, Chito became motivated to support his wife’s dream. He saw her vision and the potential of the business Neri was building.
“Since hindi ko naman sya maaawat, and tiwala din naman ako sa kakayahan at vision nya (and honestly, dahan dahan kong nakikita yung potential ng mga plano nya hehe), nag-decide na ako maki-bakas, and offered to pay for half of everything para mapabilis yung mga plano nya. Sabi ko, gawin nya lahat ng gusto nya, tapos hati kami sa gastos,” Chito said.
With their partnership and support, Chito is proud of how far they have come. Trusting his wife’s dream of building a rest house was a decision he didn’t regret. Their rest house was one of their most profitable businesses.
“Last year, 4 years after bilin ni Neri yung bakanteng lupa, binuksan namin yung Miranda’s Resthouse at naging isa ito sa mga pinaka-magagandang negosyo namin bilang mag-asawa and business partners,” Chito added.
