Eligibility
The Shopee affiliate program is available to social media influencers, tiktokers, bloggers, and vloggers. You’re also eligible if you’re a “digital creator” on Facebook.
Other requirements:
- Must be based in the Philippines
- Must have at least 1,000 followers
- Must have at least one post on the social media page you’re using to apply within the past 14 days
Guide to Becoming a Shopee Affiliate
If you’re eligible, you can follow these steps to become a Shopee affiliate and start earning money:
Step 1. Register for a Shopee affiliate account. Enter your Shopee login details to begin.
Step 2. Enter the following information:
- Account Type: Individual
- Fill out the form with your personal information
Step 3. Verify your email address. Check your spam folder if you didn’t receive the message on your main inbox.
Step 4. Enter the URL of your main social media account. You can also add as many as 9 other website links.
Step 5. Select the categories you want to promote.
Step 6: Select “Partner Type: Blogger/Social Media.”
Step 7. Read the Shopee Affiliate Program Terms and Conditions.
Step 8. Click submit and wait for approval. It might take 30 days before your affiliate account is approved.
Step 9. Once approved, you’ll need to enter more details about yourself and your business, if any.
You need to add your TIN if you have a BIR account.
If you don’t have a BIR account, you need to declare that you don’t have any and that you authorize Shopee to deduct the corresponding government fees from your transactions.
Step 10. You can start earning money by finding links on Shopee of products that you want to recommend.
Ways to Share Shopee Affiliate Links
Be sure you’re logged in to your Shopee affiliate account. Shopee will automatically add your affiliate link when you do the following:
- Share the links directly from products you find on Shopee. Notice that Shopee automatically adds your affiliate code when you copy the links.
- Check your past Shopee purchases, then click view until you get to the part where you can find “live view.” Use the method above to share the link.
- Another way is to use the links from the “Affiliate Program.”
In all the methods above, you’ll see the estimated commission rates and amounts you will earn when people buy after clicking on your link.
NOTE: You still earn if they buy other items from Shopee, even if they didn’t get the product that you originally shared.
WARNING: Don’t create multiple accounts to earn more from this program. You can get your account banned and you’ll be tagged for fraud.
