How to Franchise Greenwich Pizza

-

There are dozens of pizza companies in the Philippines but there are just a handful of names that truly stand out from the rest and are more popular than the others, despite having a higher price tag than the others perhaps.

Greenwich Pizza is one of the favorite pizza shops in the country, with hundreds of stores spread out across the Philippines.

Amazingly, the chain had humble beginnings as a simple over-the-counter pizza shop at Greenhills Commercial Center back in 1971. It was founded by Cresida Tueres.

As the brand grew, it gained the attention of Jollibee Foods Corporation which acquired 80% of the company’s shares in 1994. At the time, the brand only had some 50 stores.

Under Jollibee Foods Corporation, Greenwich grew quickly to reach 240 stores by 2005! The following year, Jollibee Foods Corporation fully acquired the remaining 20% shares for a whopping Php384 million! It’s quite a high amount for a company that started out as a small shop in Greenhills just a few decades ago.

Today, Greenwich Pizza continues to grow across the country, bringing delicious pizzas and other food items within reach.

The franchise fee for Greenwich is estimated to be ranging from Php12 million to Php15 million (source: Franchise Business Philippines) but the total investment cost could reach to around Php20 million for one store, based on information from the store’s official website.

The franchise contract is valid for 10 years and is renewable. Greenwich collects a royalty fee of 29% from total gross sales; this is on top of the franchise fees.

The franchise fee already covers the following:

  • Initial Set-up Fee
  • Pre-opening Expenses
  • Signage

You’ll have the Greenwich Operations team behind your back, helping you even from the very start. The team helps in the planning and construction phase as well as in recruitment and providing training of the store management team.
