The milk tea craze has swept the Philippines by storm! Proof of that are the many posts on social media from youngsters and adults alike, sharing pictures of their milk tea drinks. It is safe to say that businesses offering milk tea and similar drinks are bound to be a popular hangout, especially among social media savvy people.
Coco Fresh Tea & Juice, the makers of Coco Milk Tea, is one of these popular milk tea brands.

According to its official website, CoCo Fresh Tea and Juice was founded at Tamsui, Taiwan in 1997. But the brand would quickly grow and make its way across the world. It now has over 4,000 stores all over the world, not just in Taiwan but also in places like Japan, Thailand, Australia, New Zealand, United Kingdom, Canada, USA, and the Philippines.
Coco Fresh Tea & Juice already has a number of branches in Luzon and Visayas, but Mindanao branches are still coming soon. But many business-minded folks are wondering whether the brand is open for franchise.

Can You Franchise Coco Fresh Tea & Juice?
Right now, Coco Fresh Tea & Juice is not available for franchise in the Philippines. An announcement on its official Facebook page states:
“CoCo Fresh Tea & Juice is a registered trademark of Tobistro Foods, Inc. in the Philippines. CoCo Fresh Tea & Juice Philippines is currently not open for franchising.”

It appears that the master franchise owner of Coco in the Philippines, Tobistro Foods Inc., is eyeing expansion on their own for now, without help from external franchise partners, according to Pinoy Money Talk.
However, this could change in the future. So, don’t forget to bookmark this page as we post updates in the future should the brand begin offering franchise options to those interested to help them expand their business in the Philippines.

The good news is that you can still franchise Coco Fresh Tea & Juice in locations outside the Philippines! If you’re an OFW or someone based abroad, the following areas are available for multi-unit franchise applications:
- Asia: Indonesia, Japan, Malaysia, Singapore, Thailand, Vietnam
- Europe: Belgium, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Italy, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Sweden, Switzerland, United Kingdom
- North America: USA, Canada
To franchise, register an account on the company’s website to submit your application. You will receive a call in 2-3 weeks for a preliminary interview. If you pass this initial stage, you will be required to submit a business plan.
Video conference calls will be done to discuss details of the franchise plan. And if you pass all that, you will be invited to a company tour and final interview with a member of CoCo’s board of directors at CoCo’s headquarters in Taiwan, at your own expense.
