How to Franchise MAXI Mango

Mangoes are among the most popular fruits in the Philippines. With the fruit available in many varieties throughout the year, it is not surprising that it is a favorite among Filipinos.

What makes mangoes even more popular is that it can be eaten raw, unripe or ripe, and mixed in various dishes, desserts, and snack items! The fruit is so versatile and so popular across the country that it has long been the Philippines’ national fruit.

With that in mind, MAXI Mango was born.

A concept started by spouses Miki Arceo-Velasquez and Ivan Velasquez in December 2017, the food stall business now has branches in over 25 locations, including inside shopping malls, across the Philippines.

As you might recall, Miki is a popular name because she was one of the ‘housemates’ in ABS-CBN’s TV show Pinoy Big Brother (PBB) Teens Edition, with no less than Gerald Anderson and Kim Chiu as her batchmates.

The Velasquez couple had long been in the business of selling soft-serve ice cream, but their business really picked up when they launched MAXI Mango.

Using the concept from soft-serve ice cream and other favorite Filipino snack items, the couple came up with the following products, available in different sizes from small to large:

  • Maxi Mango
  • Mango Float
  • Mango Shake
  • Mango Juice Float
