Celebrity couple Andi Eigenmann and Philmar Alipayo recently opened a surf shop and snack bar in Siargao – and many fans are impressed.
Celebrity Couple Open Surf Shop and Snack Bar
Considering that many celebrities went from riches to rags after making major financial mistakes at the heights of their careers, it is refreshing to see celebrities having their own businesses and investing in their future like us ordinary mortals, too.
Sharing the post on their social media account Happy Islanders, Andi proudly announced that the two businesses are now open. They’re right next to each other.
The celebrity couple owns Kanaway Snack Bar and its next-door neighbor Kanaway Surf Shop along with some business partners.
“Our snack bar is open every day except Tuesdays, from 8 a.m. ’til sunset,” Andi announced.
What’s great about going to this shop is that fans are most likely going to have a chance to meet celebrities. After all, Andi is a hands-on entrepreneur at the snack bar while Philmar is in charge of the surf shop.
Considering these two businesses are next to each other, there’s a big chance to meet them both or either one. Plus, Andi’s family and her ex-boyfriend, Jake Ejercito, also visit Siargao from time to time.
Even on its first day, the shop already had a celebrity customer: comedian Pooh.
Eco-friendly Business Venture
Andi shared that the snack bar uses eco-friendly items, not just for the design but also for plating, and their takeout containers are made of biodegradable materials.
“We’re making our packaging, plating for our panini [sandwiches],” Andi explained how they use banana leaves.
“Because I want to use the opportunity of having a snack bar to promote using only fully biodegradable container for our takeout food and drinks.”
Starting Twin Businesses
Opening twin businesses right next to each other can be a good idea, such as the surf shop/school and snack bar of Andi and Philmar.
Hungry students of the surf shop can hang out and grab a bite at the snack bar, while the snack bar customers might feel curious about the surf shop and visit it, too.
