When we think of pizza, we already have a certain picture in mind. It’s supposed to be gooey with cheese and has tasty toppings of our choice. Of course, a slice meant triangular in shape. At Doni’s Pizza Cone, however, you will be treated to a cone-shaped pizza.

This unique pizza is not just being patronized for its unique look but also for its yummy taste. Because of its shape, you get to have more fillings instead of just toppings. It’s also handy and convenient to eat, especially when you’re on a run.

According to business owners, Trifonia and Francis Oblefias, they started with a capital of P50,000 to open their pizza shop. “Mahilig kasi ako sa pizza tapos may nakita akong pizza na nasa cone,” Francis shared on GMA’s Pera Paraan.

Trifonia revealed that they studied and researched how to make the best pizza first before venturing into business. They also worked on finding the right target market. At that time, they found their niche among students. Their hard work paid off as they are now earning at least P15,000 a day or around P100,000 a week.

“Huwag kang titigil hanggat gusto mo ang ginagawa mo. Ipagpatuloy mo kasi lahat pinaghihirapan,” Trifonia advised.

Their Lucban Longganisa Pizza Cone is a tribute to their hometown’s most popular food. Their Nanay P’s Sisig Pizza Cone was also named after Francis’ mother who made delicious sisig. They now have 14 flavors including Hawaiian, bacon mushroom, bacon egg, ham and pepperoni and more.

Making Nanay P’s Sisig Pizza Cone

In a bowl make your filling by mixing homemade sisig, onion and cheese. Place enough filling inside the pizza cone dough. Top it with mozzarella cheese and more sisig. Bake until cooked.

Making Cheesy Lucban Longganisa Pizza Cone

To make the filling, mix Lucban Longganisa, white onion, cheese and bell pepper in a bowl. Fill the pizza cone dough with the right amount of filling. As toppings, add more cheese and longganisa. Baked until done.

To make the pizza cone dough, they just use a molder to shape it. It must be baked first before filling it so that it won’t break.
