It all began during Vannerie’s delicate pregnancy last 2018, which forced her to stop working as a teacher. What made the pregnancy even harder for her is when she discovered that her partner, the father of the child she is bearing, was having an affair at work. She also recalled that her baby almost died after giving birth.

Kaya naming umangat,” Vannerie shared on GMA’s Kapuso Mo, Jessica Soho.

In order to provide for her child’s needs, she applied as a call center agent but because she provides alone for her and her child, her salary was not enough for them. It came to the point that the only money left for them was just P3,500 pesos. She decided to take a risk and use the money as capital to venture into business. Because many seemed to be into beauty products, she decided to look for a supplier where she can invest her 3,500 pesos.

“Dahil madaming gusto magpaganda, skin care yung tingin kong pwede mabenta.

But the journey to success was not easy for her. Vannerie had encounters with bogus buyers. It frustrated her at first and she even thought of quitting. But determined to succeed, Vannerie continued posting online. Soon, many people started to buy more of her products. From her P3,500 capital, she now earns P3 million pesos which she posted on her TikTok account.

With her story of rags to riches, she wants to remind aspiring entrepreneurs that before starting a business, you should take your time in learning about it.
