How A Grab Driver, Teacher, And Bpo Agent Started A Successful Aesthetic Business

Many people aspire to be successful entrepreneurs, but not everyone has the courage or opportunity to pursue their dreams. But Dennis and Krystal Tecson-Garalde and Allan Tecson of Glam and Fab Aesthetic Center will show that you can still be successful in a business you don’t know much about if you have the right education, support, and put in a lot of hard work.

Dennis was a Grab driver, and Krystal was a public school educator. Meanwhile, Dennis’s brother Allan used to work in a call center five years ago. They had no background or experience in the aesthetic industry, but they were introduced to it by their sister, who owned a beauty clinic.

They saw the potential of the business and decided to invest their hard-earned money and loaned P500,000 to start their own aesthetic clinic. They named it Glam & Fab, and they learned everything they could about the business from doctors, dermatologists, and lawyers.

According to Krystal, having no experience or background in the aesthetic industry didn’t stop them from working hard and learning more. She added that her inspiration and motivation were to see the happy faces of their customers after a good pampering.

In an article on Philstar, she said, “Noong nakita namin na maganda ‘yung business kasi parang happy business siya, ‘pag pumapasok y’ung kliyente at umuwi, happy sila kasi they able to practice self-care. Nong dumating ‘yung negosyo, na-realize namin na it will help us financially. Ginawa namin, kahit magkakaiba ‘yung field namin, we tried our best na aralin ‘yung negosyo.”

[We saw it as a great opportunity as a business because it made our clients happy. They were able to leave with smiles on their faces because they had taken care of themselves. We realized that it was a lucrative business. So, we did everything to learn about the business despite coming from different backgrounds.]

Now, Glam and Fab Aesthetic Center has been a leading name in the industry for four successful years. According to Krystal, they will continue to promote the idea that self-care is not selfish. She said in an article in the Manila Bulletin, “To inspire and empower even more individuals to prioritize their needs and take care of themselves, we are better equipped to take care of others and contribute positively to society.”

The demand for aesthetic treatments is constantly growing as more and more people look for ways to improve their appearance. This means that there is a large potential customer base for your business. It might need much bigger capital because of the staff and equipment needed, but with the right funding and strategy, this can be a very rewarding business opportunity.
