A holding business does not produce or sell any goods or services. Instead, it invests in several companies in order to acquire shares and build a corporate group. Its investments and shares enable startups and existing businesses to have more capital and greater security in their enterprises.

Dave is the founder and CEO, and Ara is the co-founder. They also have Dave’s sister as their business partner. It took them three years before they finally launched this company.

In an article on Push, Dave explained how their holding company works. He said, “Naghahanap tayo ng mga konsepto ng mga potential businesses na puwedeng palakihin. So, either we invest, or we actually partner, or we provide our experience.” [We look for businesses with concepts that have good potential to grow and expand.]

Meanwhile, Ara will be working on the lifestyle and beauty aspects of the company. This is a good idea for putting your skills to good use.

She said, “Well, sa akin ang role ko, ako naman sa side ng lifestyle and beauty. So we’re always on the lookout and interested sa innovation ng lifestyle and beauty. Doon naman ako sa side na yun.”

[My responsibility is lifestyle and beauty. We are constantly searching for and interested in new breakthroughs and innovations in lifestyle and beauty. That is where I play a part.]

Ara is confident that she can work well in her role. She has been a successful entrepreneur with various businesses, including cafes, restaurants, a skincare line, and more.

In an article on Pep, it was noted that DingDong Dantes was among the company’s initial local partners. The actor owns DingDong PH, a delivery service app. Under AForce holding, they plan to turn DingDong PH into a “super app,” where consumers can choose to order on FoodPanda and Grab using only one app.

According to the couple, despite their experiences, handling a new business is still not a walk in the park. Everything is still a learning process as they meet challenges and find ways to overcome them.
